Stevens Pass Washington offers exceptional skiing and great conditions—with a yearly snowfall of more than 450 feet, visitors can be confident there will be plenty of powder. Visitors will also find numerous runs for beginners, intermediates, and experts, as well as skiing lessons available in case they want to try the next level of runs. Located just a couple of hours’ drive from Seattle, in the Wenatchee National Forest, it’s an easy day trip during a vacation to the city. At the pass, both skiers and snowboarders have the option of maneuvering down the runs on Stevens Pass backside, which is ideal for skiers, or the front side perfect for snowboarders adept at the making the wide turns that are part of the run. Tye Mill is one of the three high chairlifts on the front side of the mountain, a fixed triple that is accessible from the lower Hogsback lift and has access to both the backside and intermediate runs on the right side. Stevens Pass backside is entertaining with plenty of challenging terrain, including double-black diamond runs. Posted signs alert skiers to runs designated for experts only.
