New Homes San Diego

New Homes San Diego

As with its metropolitan contemporaries in California, San Diego is no stranger to elevated real estate prices. Known for its pristine topography and a desirable quality of life, San Diego has much to offer; many owners of San Diego properties attest to a high level of buyer satisfaction. What is a snapshot of the current market in this city, and the neighboring towns within its county? The median price of a home in San Diego stands at $804,933; that’s actually a 6% increase since May. Surprisingly, the change has been building over the spring and summer months; this median is a 16.5% increase over the past three months. From this we can conclude that like its neighbor Los Angeles, San Diego appears to be recovering nicely from last year’s market woes. How about the surrounding cities of San Diego County? For those who need a refresher, this includes areas such as Chula Vista, Del Mar, Oceanside, and Escondido. Many of these cities present a lower price tag than the city of San Diego; however, it’s still wise to research the median in the specific city of your preference, rather than doing a county search. For quick reference, though, we can report that the median price of homes in San Diego County was $314,250 in the month of June.
