There’s perhaps no outdoor furniture material more classic than teak. Of late, it’s been the subject of concern in terms of sustainability; as the world turns its eyes to building materials that don’t have a negative impact on the earth they leave behind nor that are used in such great volume that they become extinct or otherwise damage the remaining ecosystem, strides are now being made to address the issue. The rise in popularity of plantation teak, which is grown through far more sustainable methods, is on its way toward eclipsing traditional manufacturing practices. That means this timeless, warm blonde wood can continue to grace our back patios and poolside promenades just as it always has.
